Job Summary

We are currently looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to support our client in the area of Talent Acquisition and onboarding processes both on-site and remotely. 

The HRBP is expected to support our client in managing communications with all shortlisted applicants on the client applicant tracking system (Bamboo HR), schedule candidates for the next stages of the selection process such as assessments, interviews, conducting pre-employment checks etc

Project Duration: 4 Months

Location: Lekki, Lagos 

 

 

Job duties and responsibilities
    • Manage communications with applicants by sending out all prepared communications scheduled in the BamBooHR email templates. 
    • Create fresh emails to candidates when necessary in instances where candidates make enquiries requiring responses not already included in the applicant tracking systems' backend
    • Schedule all assessments on different days as agreed and follow up with the candidates to ensure that they attend their assessments. 
    • Supervise the assessment activities to ensure that all goes well
    • Provide all assessment reports to the client for decision-making and also offer recommendations based on assessment outcomes
    • Check the assessment claims form to ensure that the client refunds candidates for transportation costs incurred for their assessments according to the client travel refund policy for assessments.
    • Schedule applicants for interviews with the client after proper communications with hiring managers on availability etc. 
    • Agree with the client on what the interview components should be, i.e. a combination of presentations with a Q&A session
    • Share all candidate's information, i.e. application form, resume, assessment scores etc., with panel members  
    • Ensure that panel members know their roles during the session and are guided on questions to ask and not to ask. 
    • Ensure that the interview panel, including the HRBP, fills out the client's interview evaluation form. 
    • Compile all the interview feedback from the form into a Google Excel Sheet to enable decision-making 
    • Schedule applicants for a chat with the CEO after proper communications with the CEO on availability etc.
    • Communicate with the CEO on availability and ensure that all chats hold as they should or are rescheduled as required. 
    • Use a combination of Google Docs and BambooHR to prepare letters and send them to selected candidates. 
    • Study all other processes on BambooHR HR to understand workflows and how our processes are implemented.
    • Send out the pre-employment checks forms to candidates once conditional offers are accepted.,
    • Ensure that all checks/verifications, including medical screenings, are activated or scheduled. 
    • Send out unconditional offers once checks are completed. 
    • Create an onboarding plan for new candidates, and ensure that they meet with all necessary individuals both in-person and virtually. 
    • Ensure that all necessary forms are signed via BambooHR and sign up employees for their HMO, Salary accounts, pension forms etc. 
    • Liaise with the client's Executives to ensure that all new hires have what they need to settle in without a hitch.
Job requirements and qualifications
    • 7+ years of experience in in-house Human Resources or Human resource consulting, preferably in a fast-paced, professional services environment
    • Membership of professional bodies - CIPD, SHRM or CIPM
    • Demonstrable experience facilitating human resources management service delivery through centres of excellence; 
    • A proven track record of developing and executing people strategies that drive measurable business results;
    • Experience managing remote and distributed teams
    • Experience working with and/or reporting to executive teams and boards of directors 
    • Expertise in talent acquisition and onboarding
    • Able to measure/assess (quantitatively and qualitatively) the effectiveness of talent acquisition activities, linking outcomes to the organisation's strategic goals and plans. 
    • Experience using ATS, HRIS and LMS platforms in the talent acquisition process. 
    • Ability to work effectively in a virtual and/or hybrid environment.
    • Knowledge of tech-enabled productivity/work management tools, such as Trello, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Sites, Spaces, etc.), Notion, Mailchimp, Grammarly, etc. 
    • Top-notch attention to detail and excellent judgement.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organisation
    • Ability to communicate effectively and customise communications approach to different audiences, organisations and stakeholders. 
    • Must be able to write and speak the English Language excellently; 
    • Strong leadership and or team working skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
    • Able to prioritise and work under pressure and without supervision
