Job Summary

The Risk Officer will be responsiible for responding promptly to incidents and breaches, initiating appropriate corrective actions

Job duties and responsibilities
    • Respond promptly to incidents and breaches, initiating appropriate corrective actions.
    • Investigate and document incidents, identifying root causes and preventive measures.
    • Maintain incident records and ensure proper reporting to regulatory authorities when necessary.
    • Continuously monitor the risk landscape, identifying emerging risks and trends.
    • Conduct risk assessments and stress tests to evaluate the resilience of the organization.
    • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
    • Evaluate the impact and likelihood of identified risks.
    • Categorize risks and prioritize them based on their severity and potential consequences.
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation plans and strategies to minimize potential losses.
    • Encourage proactive risk reporting and incident reporting.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute risk reduction measures.
    • Monitor and report on the progress of risk mitigation efforts.
    • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Ensure the organization's compliance with all applicable regulations.
    • Assist in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures to meet compliance requirements.
    • Prepare regular reports on the organization's risk profile and status.
    • Communicate risk-related information to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
    • Provide insights and recommendations for risk management improvements.
    • Foster a culture of risk awareness and accountability across the organization.
Job requirements and qualifications
    • Minimum of Second-Class Upper Credit in in finance, business, risk management, or a related field.
    • Professional certifications such as Certified Risk Manager (CRM) or Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) are a plus.
    • Proven experience in risk management, preferably in a similar industry.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and tools.
    • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance.
    • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation.
