Job Summary

We are looking for a Land Surveyor who will be responsible for conducting land surveys, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking using the latest surveying equipment and technology. Also, he or she will accurately measure distances, angles, elevations, and landmarks to create precise survey data. The Land surveyor will conduct research and review existing survey records, land titles, and legal documents to verify property boundaries and land ownership.

Job duties and responsibilities
    • Conduct land surveys, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking using the latest surveying equipment and technology.
    • Accurately measure distances, angles, elevations, and landmarks to create precise survey data.
    • Research and review existing survey records, land titles, and legal documents to verify property boundaries and land ownership.
    • Prepare detailed survey reports, maps, and plats that comply with industry standards and regulations.
    • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction professionals to provide survey data for project planning and development.
    • Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
    • Stay updated on advancements in surveying technology and techniques to enhance surveying processes.
    • Assist in managing and coordinates surveys and investigations of land surfaces.
    • Ensure accurate measurements of the ground as required, including aspects such as small and large-scale distances, angles and elevations.
    • Handle the preparation of survey maps, plans, and exhibits.
    • Provide surveying expertise to special surveying problems.
    • Verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.

     

Job requirements and qualifications
    • B.Sc./HND Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
    • 3 years of experience in conducting land surveys/in the field.
    • Proficiency in using Total Stations, GPS equipment, and surveying.
    • Strong knowledge of land surveying principles, regulations, and best practices.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
    • Ability to perform horizontal and vertical survey calculations.
    • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within this field.
    • Professional certification is a plus.
