Our client, a leading commodity trading company seeks to hire a competent Sorter for its Aluminum and Copper Ingots Manufacturing Plant. The Factory, based in Mowe [Lagos-Ibadan Express Way], Ogun state will primarily recycle a broad range of scrap materials and convert them to usable Aluminum and Copper Ingots for different manufacturing purposes.
The ideal candidate will (but is not limited to):
Operate equipment such as shears, blow torches, chop saws, and shaker tables.
Manufacture extruded aluminium evaporator coils, condenser coils, and other products for heat transfer applications.
Process mail using automated mail processing equipment or manual methods of sortation and distribution.
Sorts parts according to the type of metal or part.
Carry out other tasks as assigned
Minimum of SSCE Certification (Secondary level Education), /OND added advantage.
Ability to utilize heavy equipment based on established protocols and job-related needs preferred.
Knowledge and experience in metal sorting and applicable tools preferred.
Familiarity with operating basic machinery.
Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs or 25kg.
Knowledge of safety protocols.
At least (3) Three years of related job experience in a similar manufacturing setting is preferred.
Required Competence.
Proven work experience as a Packer or similar role.
Experience in manufacturing or related fields is preferred.
Basic shop skills, such as using hand tools.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Strong communication skills and desire to work with other team members.
Ability to read and comprehend applicable part prints and similar schematics preferred.
