Job Summary

The Store Officer will be responsiible for maintaing detailed records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, returns, and adjustments. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date.

Job duties and responsibilities
    • Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, returns, and adjustments. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date.
    • Receive and inspect incoming goods to ensure they meet quality and quantity specifications. Verify shipments against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
    • Process internal and external orders for goods, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and shipping of items. Coordinate with relevant departments to meet delivery deadlines.
    • Conduct regular physical inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies and maintain inventory accuracy.
    • Ensure that all store activities adhere to safety regulations and company policies. Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
    • Organize and optimize the storage of goods within the store or warehouse to maximize space utilization and ensure ease of access.
    • Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, stock movement, and any discrepancies. Provide data and insights to support decision-making.
    • Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any issues related to received goods.
    • Maintain accurate records of all items in stock and their quantities. Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
    • Implement stock rotation and FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles to minimize product spoilage or obsolescence. Top of Form.
Job requirements and qualifications
    • Minimum of Second-Class Upper Credit in supply chain management or a related field is a plus.
    • Proven experience in store management or a similar role.
    • Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Forklift or other relevant equipment.
    • Exposure to warehouse or storage facility conditions, which may include varying temperatures and physical demands.
