Job Summary

  • To oversee and manage team of electricians.
  • Coordinate and carry out all tasks related to the repair and improvement of the electrical systems of a facility.
  • Will oversee electrical projects and manage external vendors.
  • Will report to the Snr. Technical Manager.

Job duties and responsibilities
    • Assist Snr. Technical Manager in scope of work preparation and pre-award interviews.
    • Writing Electrical bid packages.
    • Providing budget review and value analysis.
    • Providing constructability reviews and recommendations.
    • Provide scheduling review and updates.
    • Assist the project team with coordination and planning of the work of subcontractors.
    • Quality inspections and reviews of installed work.
    • Perform electrical audits.
    • Submittal of subcontractor quotes and reviews.
    • Resolve electrical panel issues.
    • Troubleshoot electrical field problems.
    • Coordinate and witness systems testing and record keeping.
    • Coordinate or assist with local building authority inspections.
    • Coordinate and assist with electrical commissioning of systems.
    • Demonstrate working knowledge of the following disciplines:
    • Integrated systems, including fire alarm systems, nurse call stations, security systems, CATV, sound systems, etc.
    • Electrical high and low voltage systems
    • Temperature controls and other control systems
    • Ensure that all works are carried out in line with company HSE policies
Job requirements and qualifications
    • Degree in Electrical Engineering; City & Guilds Stage 3; NSE and/or COREN certified (added advantage)
    • Minimum 3 to 5 years post qualification experience within the production industry.
    • Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams
    • Basic knowledge of the principle of the operation of air conditioner and refrigerator
    • Basic knowledge on firefighting and prevention activities.
    • Basic knowledge of safety.
    • Be able to communicate effectively in English
