Job Summary

The Senior Finance Analyst is a critical asset to the client and is responsible for optimizing financial strategies, providing data-driven insights, and ensuring sound fiscal decision-making. With a strong background in finance, data analysis, and strategic planning, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the client financial health and success.

Job duties and responsibilities

    • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of operations, including revenue streams, cost of goods sold, inventory management, and fulfillment expenses.
    • Identify trends, key performance indicators, and opportunities for financial improvements.
    • Provide data-driven recommendations to enhance cost efficiency while maintaining the highest quality standards.
    • Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions, assess different growth scenarios, and aid in long-term financial planning.
    • Ensure adherence to financial regulations and accounting standards specific to the industry.
    • Collaborate with compliance teams to implement and maintain internal controls and best practices.
    • Assist in preparing for internal and external audits by providing accurate financial documentation and explanations.
    • Address any audit findings and implement recommended improvements.
    • Collaborate with department heads to develop accurate and achievable budgets and financial forecasts.
    • Monitor financial performance against budgets, analyze variances, and work with stakeholders to implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Present financial insights to senior management to facilitate informed decision-making.
    • Analyze inventory levels, turnover rates, and pricing strategies to optimize inventory control and ensure appropriate stock levels for various products.
    • Evaluate the cost structure of fulfillment, supplies, and other operational expenses.
    • Oversee the accurate and organized recording of financial transactions in the company's accounting systems.
    • Perform periodic reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
    • Provide financial advice and guidance to management on matters such as pricing strategies, investment opportunities, and expansion initiatives.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, changes in regulations, and market developments that may impact the company's financial performance.
Job requirements and qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
    • 5-10 years of proven experience as a finance analyst or a similar role
    • Relevant certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Management Accountant(CMA) are a plus.
    • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
    • A willingness to stay updated with industry trends, changes in financial regulations, and advancements in financial technology.

    • Assist in mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
    • Proficiency using financial software and accounting systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Quickbooks) for data management and analysis
    • Experience with financial audits and preparation of audit documentation.

    • Demonstrated capability in managing financial data warehouses and effectively visualizing financial insights.
    • Understanding of tax laws, financial reporting requirements, and internal controls.

  • N400,000 - N600,000
