Job Summary

A highly skilled and motivated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer that will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies

Job duties and responsibilities
  •  

    • Develop and update health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
    • Monitor and report on the company's environmental performance, ensuring adherence to environmental standards.
    • Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate potential hazards in the workplace.
    • Organize and conduct HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
    • Promote awareness of HSE issues and best practices.
    • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
    • Develop and maintain emergency response plans to address potential crises and ensure the safety of personnel.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify HSE issues and monitor the effectiveness of implemented safety measures.
    • Reporting:
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on HSE performance, including key metrics and trends.
    • Oversee the proper handling and disposal of waste materials in compliance with environmental regulations.

     

     

     

Job requirements and qualifications
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field.
    • Proven experience as an HSE Officer, preferably in the agriculture or palm oil industry.
    • Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH) is a plus.
