Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Treasury Analyst to join our finance team. The Treasury Analyst will be responsible for managing daily cash operations, analysing financial data, and supporting treasury functions to optimize cash flow, liquidity, and financial risk management. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Job duties and responsibilities
    • Execute daily cash management activities, including cash positioning, forecasting, and liquidity management.
    • Monitor bank account balances and initiate fund transfers to ensure sufficient liquidity for daily operations.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of cash management strategies to optimize cash flow and minimize borrowing costs.
    • Analyse financial data, including cash flow projections, bank fees, and interest income/expense, to support treasury decision-making.
    • Prepare and maintain accurate cash flow forecasts, variance analyses, and financial reports for management review.
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including finance, accounting, and operations teams, to gather relevant financial information and support treasury initiatives.
    • Assist in the management of banking relationships, including bank account setup, bank fee analysis, and negotiation of banking services.
    • Support the administration of debt facilities, including monitoring debt covenants, preparing compliance reports, and coordinating debt repayments.
    • Assist in the evaluation and implementation of treasury management systems and financial tools to enhance treasury operations and efficiency.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in treasury management to ensure compliance and optimize treasury processes.
    • Regularly meet with company managers, stock market traders, fund managers and stockbrokers
    • Evaluate performance of current investments and identify new investment opportunities.
Job requirements and qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
    • 3-5 years of experience in treasury, finance, or related field, preferably in a corporate environment.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyse complex financial data and draw meaningful insights.
    • Proficiency in financial modelling, cash flow forecasting, and financial analysis techniques.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications. Experience with treasury management systems (TMS) is a plus.
    • Knowledge of treasury operations, cash management practices, and financial risk management principles.
    • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work independently with minimal supervision.

    • Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions.
    • Time management: Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
