Our client, a leading commodity trading company that seeks to hire a competent Scrap Loader for its Aluminum and Copper Ingots Manufacturing Plant. The Factory, which is based in Mowe [Lagos-Ibadan Express Way], Ogun state will primarily recycle a broad range of scrap materials and convert them to usable Aluminum and Copper Ingots for different manufacturing purposes.

• The ideal candidate will (but not limited to): 

  • Tends machines, such as baling machine, centrifugal separator, and oil purifier to salvage metal parts and cut oil: Loads and moves barrels or crates of metal chips, shavings, or clippings from machining operations, using a hand truck. 

  • Dump metal scrap into the baling machine and activate the machine to compress scrap into bales. 

  • Binds bales of metal scrap with wire or metal strapping. 

  • Shovel scrap into spinner bucket. 

  • Clamps cover, sets the timer, adjusts sump pump and oil line valves, and flips switches to start the automatic cycle of the centrifugal machine that spins metal scrap to separate cutting oil from scrap. 

  • Starts a centrifugal oil purifier that filters foreign matter from used cutting oil to make oil reusable. 

  • Disassemble rejected devices and materials, such as thermostats, valves, conduit, and connectors, using hand tools, arbour press, vises, and power hacksaw. 

  • Sorts parts according to the type of metal or part.  

  • Weigh bales and barrels of scrap metal and tie identification tags on scrap. 

• • Minimum of SSCE Certification (Secondary level Education), / OND added advantage. 

  • Ability to utilize heavy equipment based on established protocols and job-related needs preferred. 

  • Knowledge and experience in packing and applicable tools preferred. 

  • At least (3) Three years of related job experience in a similar manufacturing setting is preferred. 

   

  Required Competence. 

  • Proven work experience as a Packer or similar role 

  • Experience in manufacturing or related fields is preferred. 

  • Basic shop skills, such as using hand tools. 

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. 

  • Strong communication skills and desire to work with other team members. 

  • Ability to read and comprehend applicable part prints and similar schematics preferred.
