Job Summary

Our client a leading commodity trading company that seeks to hire a competent Forklift Driver (Day/Night) for its Aluminum and Copper Ingots Manufacturing Plant. The Factory based in Mowe [Lagos-Ibadan Express Way], Ogun state will primarily recycle a broad range of scrap materials and convert them to usable Aluminum and Copper Ingots for different manufacturing purposes. 

Job duties and responsibilities
  • The ideal candidate will (but not limited to): 

    • Manoeuvre forklifts safely in a busy aluminium factory. 

    • Safely assist in stacking and unstacking large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets using the Forklift machine. 

    • Move goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport. 

    • Unload deliveries and safely relocate the goods to their designated storage areas. 

    • Ensure that forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions. 

    • Regularly check forklift equipment for faults or damages. 

    • Use industrial plastic wraps and wooden pallets to safely stack and package goods for transport. 

    • Keep up to date on health and safety requirements and forklift operating standards. 

    • Consolidate partial pallets for incoming goods. 

    • Attain daily loading requirements as assigned. 

Job requirements and qualifications
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a warehouse operating forklifts, heavy goods vehicles, or other industrial machinery. 

    • SSCE, OND added advantage. 

    • Ability to utilize heavy equipment based on established protocols and job-related needs preferred. 

    • At least (2) two years of related job experience in a similar manufacturing setting is preferred. 

    Required Competence. 

    • Experience working as a forklifter. 

    • Attention to detail. 

    • Knowledge of safety in operating forklift machines. 

    • Valid driver's license.
