Job Summary

Our client, a leading commodity trading company seeks to hire a competent Weighing Scale Operator for its Aluminum and Copper Ingots Manufacturing Plant. The Factory, based in Mowe [Lagos-Ibadan Express Way], Ogun state will primarily recycle a broad range of scrap materials and convert them to usable Aluminum and Copper Ingots for different manufacturing purposes. 

A Weighing Scale Operator is responsible for weighing and measuring materials to ensure accurate production and inventory records. 

Job duties and responsibilities
  • The ideal candidate will (but is not limited to): 

    • Monitor equipment to ensure that it is functioning properly and adjusting as needed. 

    • Recalibrate the scale if it becomes inaccurate. 

    • Inspect incoming goods to ensure that they meet federal regulations regarding size, weight, labelling, and safety before they are stored in warehouses or shipped out to customers. 

    • Record and maintain records of inventory levels and weights to ensure compliance with government regulations. 

    • Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor belts to move goods between storage locations or processing facilities. 

    • Communicate with other employees to coordinate the movement of materials or equipment. 

    • Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety regulations, such as wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) when required. 

    • Perform maintenance tasks on equipment such as oiling machinery or replacing parts as needed. 

    • Operate a forklift or other equipment to move materials in a warehouse or other facility when required. 

Job requirements and qualifications
    • A degree in a Technical Course, or another relevant field. 

    • 3 years of quality experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  

    • Experience in the use of an industrial weighing scale. 

    • Aluminium experience is an added advantage.

Salary
  • N70,000.00
