Our client, a leading commodity trading company seeks to hire a competent Weighing Scale Operator for its Aluminum and Copper Ingots Manufacturing Plant. The Factory, based in Mowe [Lagos-Ibadan Express Way], Ogun state will primarily recycle a broad range of scrap materials and convert them to usable Aluminum and Copper Ingots for different manufacturing purposes.
A Weighing Scale Operator is responsible for weighing and measuring materials to ensure accurate production and inventory records.
The ideal candidate will (but is not limited to):
Monitor equipment to ensure that it is functioning properly and adjusting as needed.
Recalibrate the scale if it becomes inaccurate.
Inspect incoming goods to ensure that they meet federal regulations regarding size, weight, labelling, and safety before they are stored in warehouses or shipped out to customers.
Record and maintain records of inventory levels and weights to ensure compliance with government regulations.
Operate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor belts to move goods between storage locations or processing facilities.
Communicate with other employees to coordinate the movement of materials or equipment.
Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety regulations, such as wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
Perform maintenance tasks on equipment such as oiling machinery or replacing parts as needed.
Operate a forklift or other equipment to move materials in a warehouse or other facility when required.
A degree in a Technical Course, or another relevant field.
3 years of quality experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in the use of an industrial weighing scale.
Aluminium experience is an added advantage.
