Our client, a leading commodity trading company that seeks to hire a competent Cook/Housekeeper for the Plant Head of its Aluminum and Copper Ingots Manufacturing Plant. The Factory, based in Mowe [Lagos-Ibadan Express Way], Ogun state will primarily recycle a broad range of scrap materials and convert them to usable Aluminum and Copper Ingots for different manufacturing purposes. The Cook/Housekeeper is a domestic staff member responsible for food preparation and Housekeeping.

• The ideal candidate will (but not limited to): 

  • Cleaning and reporting any safety hazards to the homeowner or manager in charge. 

  • Complete tasks like vacuuming, sweeping, emptying trash cans, dusting shelves, cleaning windows, and mopping floors.  

  • Change linens, wash dishes, and do ironing and laundry. 

  • Preparation and serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  

  • Clearing away, tidying, and cleaning the kitchen and rooms where food is eaten. 

  • Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen. 

  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly. 

  • Check the quality of ingredients. 

  • Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages. 

  • Presenting menus for approval and discussing daily requirements with the direct principal. 

   

• • High school diploma or equivalent preferred/ culinary school certificate. 

  • Proven experience of 5 years as cook/ housekeeper in a company lodge / for a senior executive/ expatriate. 

  • Experience in using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware. 

  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.) of continental / intercontinental dishes. 

  • Ability to follow all sanitation procedures. 

   

  Required Competence 

  • Attention to detail. 

  • Time management. 

  • Health and safety.  

  • Experience as private executive cook/housekeeper. 

  • Ability to follow verbal instructions. 

  • Strong communication skills.
