Job Summary

Job Summary: We are seeking motivated and eager individuals to join our team as Solar Technician Trainees. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to learn and develop skills in the installation, maintenance, and repair of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. As a trainee, you will work under the guidance of experienced solar technicians and engineers to gain hands-on experience in the solar energy industry.

Job duties and responsibilities
  • •    Assist in the installation of solar PV systems on residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
    •    Learn to troubleshoot and repair solar PV systems to ensure optimal performance.
    •    Participate in safety training and adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
    •    Help with the layout and assembly of solar modules, panels, and support structures.
    •    Support the electrical wiring of solar PV systems, including the installation of inverters and other system components.
    •    Perform routine maintenance and inspections of solar PV systems.
    •    Keep accurate records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.
    •    Assist in inventory management and preparing materials and tools for job sites.
    •    Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Job requirements and qualifications
  • •    High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or coursework in electrical, mechanical, or related fields is a plus.
    •    Strong interest in renewable energy and sustainability.
    •    Basic understanding of electrical systems and principles.
    •    Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
    •    Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy equipment and perform manual labour.
    •    Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced technicians.
    •    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    •    Excellent communication and teamwork skills
