Job Summary

The Compliance Officer will be responsiible for asseing the organization's compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements

Job duties and responsibilities
    • Assess the organization's compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance.
    • Establish and execute a compliance monitoring program to detect and prevent violations.
    • Collaborate with internal audit teams to review and assess compliance controls.
    • Participate in internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of compliance measures.
    • Implement corrective actions based on audit findings.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and auditors.
    • Prepare regular compliance reports for senior management and regulatory authorities.
    • Investigate and report any compliance breaches or incidents promptly.
    • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks and vulnerabilities.
    • Prioritize compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Coordinate and facilitate regulatory inspections and audits.
    • Respond to inquiries and requests from external entities regarding compliance matters.
    • Investigate allegations of ethical misconduct and take appropriate action.
    • Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards that affect the organization.
Job requirements and qualifications
    • Minimum of Second-Class Upper Credit in business, law, finance, or a related field
    • Professional certifications such as Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) or Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) are a plus.
    • Proven experience in compliance management, preferably in a regulated industry.
    • Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
    • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
