Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Bid Writer to join our client team. The ideal candidate must display a passion for delivering service excellence for our clients. This role will be responsible for preparing, producing, and analyzing tender submissions, presentations, capability statements & expressions of interest to secure new work for our business. This fast-paced role requires a nimble mind, thoughtful approach, and hands-on execution skills

Job duties and responsibilities
  • 1. Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis of the client's requirements, industry trends, and competitors to understand the project's scope and develop a winning strategy.

    2. Proposal Development: Write compelling and persuasive proposals that address the client's needs and align with the company's offerings. This includes drafting executive summaries, technical content, pricing details, and any other required sections.

    3. Collaboration: Collaborate with various internal teams, including sales, marketing, and subject matter experts, to gather relevant information and ensure accuracy and completeness of the proposals.

    4. Compliance: Ensure that the proposals adhere to the requirements outlined in the RFP or ITT, including formatting, content structure, and submission deadlines.

    5. Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit proposals for clarity, coherence, and grammar. Ensure that the proposals are error-free and professionally presented.

    6. Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with potential clients, attending meetings and presentations to understand their needs and tailor proposals accordingly.

    7. Proposal Management: Manage the entire bid process, including tracking and monitoring proposal progress, coordinating with stakeholders, and meeting submission deadlines.

    8. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry best practices and trends in bid writing. Analyze feedback from unsuccessful bids to identify areas for improvement and implement lessons learned in future proposals.

Job requirements and qualifications
    • A higher level of proficiency in the full suite of Microsoft products and well-versed with the reporting
    • Proven technology skills that relate to a marketing environment
    • Demonstrated drive and initiative.
    • Strong project management capabilities, including the ability to be outcome-oriented and deadline driven.
    • An ability to effectively manage ‘big picture’ issues.
    • Excellent interpersonal and persuasion skills.
    • Flexible, adaptable, and able to juggle multiple projects.
    • Work well under pressure and be able to operate as part of a team.
    • Proven business writing skills, including tender writing.
    • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to influence.
    • A professional and responsive approach to client service
    • Excellent attention to detail and follow-up skills.
    • Strong written communication skills in English
    • Ability to write clearly and concisely
    • Proficiency in office software (we use MS Office and Google suite)
