Job Summary

Evaluate and audit our palm oil production processes, ensuring adherence to established standards, environmental regulations, and ethical guidelines. A deep understanding of agricultural practices and sustainability principles is required and the ability to assess and improve our farming operations.

Job duties and responsibilities
    • Conduct regular on-site audits of palm oil plantations, assessing compliance with environmental, social, and ethical standards.
    • Evaluate and analyze agricultural practices to identify areas for improvement in sustainability, efficiency, and compliance.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including farmers, agronomists, and operations managers, to implement corrective actions and best practices.
    • Review and analyze documentation related to land use, water management, and chemical usage to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to sustainable agriculture, incorporating new knowledge into auditing processes.
    • Prepare comprehensive audit reports detailing findings, recommendations, and action plans for continuous improvement.
    • Provide training and support to internal teams and external stakeholders to enhance awareness and understanding of sustainable agricultural practices.
    • Foster positive relationships with regulatory agencies, certification bodies, and other stakeholders involved in palm oil production
Job requirements and qualifications
    • HND / BSc in Banking and Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
    • A minimum of 2-3 years’ relevant audit experience.
    • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret and apply complex regulations.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for preparing reports and interacting with diverse stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
    • Certification as a sustainability auditor is a plus.
    • Technology savvy, and high level of proficiency in MS. Office (particularly MS. Excel)
